Despite high hopes and anticipations, I have just been informed with the utmost sorrow that Mr. Yukiya Amano, the respectful Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), following a lengthy period of illness has passed away.
Late Mr. Amano was a dedicated and diligent director general who enjoyed of the respect of international community. He served sincerely for the betterment of our world through his personal capacity as well as professional career including his constructive involvement in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and its subsequent implementation through the publishing of 15 consequent reports on the matter. I had the honor of working with him for many years and I believe that the IAEA is deprived of the sincere serves of such a great man. Let’s hope that his manner would be pursued by his successors.
Here, I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family and all his friends and colleagues.
May God Almighty bless his soul in eternal peace.
